A brief history of Berean Bible Church
The church
originated in 1965 as several believers held services in
their homes, with the idea of beginning an independent Bible
church in the Spokane Valley.
In the first
few years the group moved from the original homes to a
savings and loan meeting room, then to a local funeral home
chapel, eventually to a Seventh Day Adventist church
building, and finally in 1967 to the present location on
Boone Avenue.
In the
successive years, a Christian education wing was added to
the original worship center. Later a gym/multi-purpose
building was built and in 1984 a new worship center was
completed.
The
congregation has steadily grown and has added additional
pastoral staff members.
The church has
three major priorities of ministry; to assist and promote
the worship of God, to edify and equip the children of God,
and to evangelize and reach the world for God.
Through an
emphasis on prayer and the teaching of God's word, we seek
to work toward the fulfillment of these goals.
